R2S, or Rescue/Rehome to Service, is a special program we offer at Binh An's Buddies. We help identify appropriate dogs who need a forever home, adopt them, and train them to become service dogs!
With this unique and special program, you will not only give a dog a forever home, you will also give them a forever job!
If you have a dog or know of a dog that you think would be a good fit for our program, our program generally seeks dogs who are 2 years of age or less, confident, get along with both people and other dogs, and eager to learn. Or if you are interested in volunteering as a foster home while our program dogs are in training? Fill out the form below
A Mastador (English Mastiff-Lab mix) that we picked up from Washington state with her sister, Star. A fun-loving sweetheart that will make a great companion, she found a home with one of our newest staff members and loving life, including a new GSD mix for a sister! She is in training for PTSD/Psych service.
Meet Shelby! A Doberman mix, with the most beautiful eyes that melt hearts was given as a Christmas gift to one of our managers, who passed her along to her son. She is loving life as lovable companion!
A Mastador (English Mastiff and Labrador Retriever mix) puppy born to Ebony after Ebony was rescued. A calm puppy, he loves cuddles. His new owner loves Star Wars, so he is now Thrawn, and does PTSD/Psych service work.
Meet Shark, another Mastador born to Ebony. One of our staff members feel in love with him, so he has become the perfect companion in a house full of other dogs!
Another Mastador (English Mastiff & Labrador Retriever) rescued from Washington state. She came to us pregnant, and gave birth to 8 beautiful Mastador puppies! Not only have they all been placed, but Ebony has found her own forever home! She is doing PTSD/Psych for a young woman who loves dogs and loves Koira!
Jake was the darling of the breeder who had him when we rescued him from Washington State. He is now doing amazing service work for two young people. One struggles with ADHD, PTSD, and emotional regulation, and the other needs support while sleeping because of diabetes. The family has fallen in love with Jake, and we are proud of the work Jake is doing!
Mo is a 2 year old Mastador (English Mastiff & Labrador Retriever, the brother of Jake!) We picked him up from Washington state. He stayed with us the longest, but finally found his forever home. His new owner is a big Star Wars fan, so he is now Boba Fett and lives with Thrawn (who was formerly Camus).
Miles is a wonderful success story that exemplifies the R2S program! Rescued from an owner who passed away and neglected by his next owners, spending all but 20 minutes of his day in a crate, this 10-month-old half Bernese Mountain Dog, half Goldendoodle has been placed with a wonderful family as an Autism support dog for their 9-year-old son!
Meet Remington! Remington is an 8-month-old Doberman mix, we are working on getting his DNA results so we can know for sure! He is a sweet, cuddly boy that loves to use his nose. Remington has found an amazing companion and will be working as a PTSD/Psych service dog.
Meet Nugget! Nugget is a two-year-old standard poodle with a loving and gentle personality! He was raised in a wonderful home that rehomed him to our program when the family had to move and could not take Nugget with them. Nugget is goofy, eager to please, and loves to snuggle! Nugget has been placed to a loving home and is currently working as a PTSD/Psych and Mobility Service Dog
Jake, a two-year old German Shepherd, has had quite a journey! He started out as a mobility service dog for a man with an amputated leg, but that man had to move and it never quite fit! Now, he is with a young man of 16 years old who struggles with anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation. Jake is providing well-needed support at school, during therapy, and at home.
Kenji is a 1-year-old German Shorthair Pointer mix. Re-homed from a family with just too many dogs who could no longer take care of him, he was placed with a wonderful woman as her scent service dog for POTS and MCAS in July 2023.
Daisy Rose, a 4-year old Golden Retriever, was our first R2S placement. She came from a family with a single mother looking to re-home Daisy on Craigslist. As soon as she came into our care, we soon realized that she could alert to seizures! She was placed on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2022, with a young woman who struggles with seizures, anxiety, depression, and disassociation.
The picture doesn't quite reveal it, but Sarge is an over 100 lb. Black lab mix! This affectionate, loving, smart, well-tempered boy is 2 years old and neutered. We took him in when his previous owner moved and decided he didn't want him. We don't know how that is possible because he is so sweet, precious, and just wants to love and be loved! When we took ownership of him, he was overweight, had no vaccines, and his health needed some attention. We've got him healthy again, and he loves to work and learn! We have seen Sarge's personality flourish since he came to us and are so proud of how far he has come! Sarge was placed as a psychiatric service dog for a young woman in January 2024!
Aiko, who started with the name, Yogi is a young and handsome English Cream Retriever. Like any Golden, he is energetic, social, fun-loving, smart, and loves to cuddle! He was raised in a loving family who decided he was a better fit for our program providing service for others! This dog is the best - healthy, smart, adorable! Aiko was placed after Christmas 2023 and is currently working as a service dog for a young girl with Autism. He absolutely loves his new family and is such a smart, hard-working pup!
Atlas, formerly Chip, found his home at 5 months to the son of one of Dog Training Elite Denver's managers! While he doesn't do service work per se, he provides emotional support for the adult man. He still has the perfect mix of playful energy and sweet cuddles as well as running around, playing with his doggie friends, and wreaking havoc (fun, but still crazy!).
Henry! Henry is a 6-month old standard poodle that was donated to our program with 3 of his siblings. He was placed with a wonderful senior couple to support the wife who struggles with chronic pain and is doing amazing!
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
